NTELX Presents at ITS World Congress in Orlando
The World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems is an international meeting and exhibition that rotates among three major geographic regions including the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific. The 18th World Congress is expected to draw over 10,000 delegates including legislators, ministers of transportation, transportation officials, international standards experts, engineers, manufacturers, and other ITS stakeholders from more than 65 countries around the world.
Dr. Amrinder Arora, Vice-President–Technology, was one of the speakers at the conference, where his presentation on “Adaptive Intelligent Transportation System for Metropolitan Areas” touched upon the various approaches to traffic management and the importance of implementing the right system in busy metropolitan areas.
Dr. Arora discussed NTELX’s experience designing, developing, and implementing freight traffic management solutions. By example, Dr. Arora shared with the group NTELX’s success in implementing such a system in Aqaba, Jordan’s sole seaport, and in Karachi, Pakistan. Results achieved include reduced congestion in the areas, lower processing times for trucks, and a decrease in carbon pollution.
